Paul Shrofel - Session musician (piano & keys), Composer, Arranger, Producer

Paul Shrofel is a professional jazz pianist, composer and producer. He holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in music from McGill University and is a graduate of Precursor's Digital Music Production program. He is currently Musical Director and pianist for Sophie Milman, a Juno award winning Jazz singer who has achieved international acclaim. He also co-wrote songs for rising star Nikki Yanofsky's debut album. Paul has a very diverse skill set which he has used to create music in a range of genres from Jazz to Electronica and for applications as diverse as film, television and the web. He has released music under the monikers OneUpOneDown and Lampshade.

Dallas Crawford - Session musician (vocals), Songwriter, Lyricist

Dallas Crawford has a passion for music that began at a young age. At 12 years old, she started singing in church and community choirs and by 18 years of age, she received formal vocal training at Concord College. Dallas has expanded her audience to showcase her vocal talents at various Winnipeg venues, including McNally Robinson, The Fort Garry Palm Room and dinner theatres. She has also provided backing vocals for Abstract Artform. Her clear vocals range from pop and jazz genres to funk and soul. Most recently, she has nearly completed recording her first original song in collaboration with Andrew Yankiwski.

Elliot Britton - Session musician (Bass), Composer, Arranger, Producer

Eliot Britton represents a new generation of young composers. He holds a Bachelors of Music Composition from the University of Manitoba, a Masters of Music Composition from McGill University and he is currently engaged in PhD studies and teaching at McGill. He is also a graduate of Advanced Digital Music Production courses at Precursor. His works are distinguished by their use of Electronica and video game elements to blur the boundaries between high and low music cultures. His process combines contemporary instrumental writing techniques, an avant-garde DJ mindset and a background in live electronics. Eliot Britton is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, most notably the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Scholarship (SSHRC).

Malcolm Remple - Session musician (Guitar, Mandolin & Bass), Songwriter, Producer

Malcolm John Ward Remple is a Montréal based musician/producer who specializes in pop and rock composition. He is also a graduate of Precursor's Digital Music Production courses. He is well known for his 1960-70’s inspired production style with an aptitude for classic yet creative song structures. Malcolm dabbles in warm and gritty analog sounds, catchy melodies, vintage guitar tones, time-honoured rock beats and glitchy rhythms. He recorded and produced the Global Symphonic release Total Bummer and has also created soundtracks for various independent films. He recently toured with the recording artist Pete Samples which included performances at New Music West, North by North East and Pop Montréal.

Omar Zulfi- Session musician (Vocals), Lyricist, Songwriter, Producer & Engineer

Omar Zulfi is an artist and producer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Exposed to a variety of music as a child, Omar’s style is adaptable to most any music situation. He specializes in Hip-Hop production and songwriting but has the ability to record and produce any genre of music. Trained as a classical and jazz percussionist, he has also completed Precursor's Level 1, 2 & 3 courses. Omar has a solid foundation in music theory and pro-audio production. Zulfi also has experience as a club DJ and radio personality. He has worked with many different artists in Winnipeg and is currently working on a solo debut album.

Shea Malcolmson - Session musician (Vocals), Lyricist, Songwriter, Producer

Shea Malcolmson is a production powerhouse who burst onto the Canadian music scene in 2004. He is a graduate of Precursor's Digital Music Production training as well as advanced Level 3 and 4 courses. He has released music through his label Sound Management Productions, including his first full-length, Prairie Kid which sold over 2000 copies and garnered universal praise from reviewers. In 2008 he opened a recording studio adjunct to the label which acts as a base of operations and serves a broad range of Urban music clientele. Shea's production credits include: Latte D Kyd, Jackson Gabriel, Lyrical Militant, Elicit, Cue, GQ, and Skill District.

Sharada Banman - Session musician (Vocals), Composer, Songwriter, Lyricist

Sharada Banman is a jazz vocalist whose style is energetic, aggressive and exciting, yet with the maturity to perform a sultry ballad. She looks to Betty Carter and Carmen McRae as inspiration. Sharada holds a diploma in music from Red Deer College, a Bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from Concordia University and a Masters degree in Music from Laval University. She has also studied privately at the Manhattan school of Music. In 1997 she produced her first album. Sharada appears regularly at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and at Montreal's well known jazz clubs She has has penned compositions for her own recordings and for other artists, most notably on Canadian Jazz artist Sophie Milman’s record Make Someone Happy.

Matt McLeod - Session musician (Mandolin, Guitar & Bass), Songwriter, Producer

Matt McLeod is a musician, producer and engineer. He has produced, mixed and mastered a full length album by Uncle Sinner as well as spoken word for Julie Parrell and voiceover for Grant Guy's Adhere and Deny experimental theatre company. He also contributed soundtrack material to the film The Big Bite. Matt is a graduate of Precursor's Level 3 course. He specializes in recording and is equipped for high-resolution location work. Matt is also very adept at songwriting and arranging.

Jason Malloy - Session musician (Guitar), Songwriter, Lyricist, Producer

Jason Malloy is a musician, songwriter and producer. He has been a core member of several bands, including: Imps of the Perverse, Whiskey Mystics, Spectral Echoes, Sham and Dilator. He recently finished producing, mixing and mastering Dilation, his debut solo album. He is currently recording an album with his band Spectral Echoes. Jason is a graduate of Precursor's Digital Music Production and Advanced Production courses. He worked as an assistant engineer at Sheba Sound, and he has engineered albums for Sham, Synkro and Darkhouse. He currently specializes as a songwriting consultant and lyricist. Artists can utilize Jason’s extensive songwriting experience to help them hone their material during pre-production.

Julien Michaud - Session musician (Guitar), Songwriter, Producer, Engineer

Julien Michaud is a musician, engineer and producer. He is a graduate of Precursor's Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4 courses. He has released music as a member of Dulcis and as a solo artist under the names Hideaway and Jay RM. Julien also recorded, mixed and mastered an EP for the band December's Insurgency. He is a versatile producer who is equally comfortable with traditional rock arrangements and futuristic electronic rhythms and textures. He recently launched is own audio production services under the name Michaud Studios.
